On the palate, the wine is layered with fresh cherries, plums, and mocha, softened by its delicate texture, and given staying power with a long, raspberry and cocoa powder finish (Fresh, Plum, Cherry, Medium-bodied) Merlot is a perfect match for beef and other medium-heavy dishes. It pairs wonderfully with rich, red pasta sauces, pork, turkey, beef, veal, pheasant, and garden salads. Merlot is also an excellent compliment to chocolate.
